Moving America Forward

When our governments, local, state and federal, decide they need more money for this program or that program, they often quickly jump to, ”What taxes can we raise?”, or worse yet, “What new taxes can we create?”  We can debate whether or not the programs in question should even be something in which the government should be involved.  The key here is that when the government decides additional funds are needed to address a national security issue or to pay down our national debt, it should look at policies that simply grow the GDP vs. policies that raise taxes.  Generally speaking, when GDP grows, the number of workers increase, salaries grow, and thus additional revenue flows into the government coffers.

Policies that remove barriers to produce cost-effective work here in America are the kinds of policies we need now!  Our tax code and regulations need a serious review so that companies can focus their dollars and their efforts on R&D and expansion here in the U.S. or abroad.  It is no longer an America-centric economy, it is a global economy and companies should be looking to expand into international markets.  People often talk of how the U.S., with only 5% of the world’s population, consumes 25% of the world’s energy, which just about correlates to the percentage of goods and services we produce as part of the global economy.  With just a 25% market share in the global economy, for many American companies, there is 3 times the opportunity in the global market than the domestic market and companies should be looking to expand into international markets.

My Energy and Business Growth policies are the strategic ways to move America forward and continue and expand our role as the leader of the free world.  As we move our nation into the future it is imperative that we not forget where we have come from and how we got here.  We must not lose sight of our American values that are slowly being eroded away by political correctness.  We must return to the principled roots of our foundational values that have made America what it is today.
